nourish, restore, reset

About Yoga Ayurveda Retreats

How We Hold Our Retreats

At Yoga Ayurveda Retreats, we design small, well-held journeys that help you slow down, reset, and come back to yourself.

Each retreat combines yoga, meditation, simple rituals, and body-based practices with the landscapes and cultures we travel through.

You can expect steady daily practice, guided relaxation, and practical Ayurveda and wellness sessions with experienced teachers.

Meals are nourishing and local, groups are intentionally small, and there is real time for rest, conversation, and being outdoors. Whether you need a break from burnout, a change of scene, or a deeper inner reset, our retreats give you a clear structure: movement, stillness, reflection, and shared experience.

You leave with a quieter nervous system, a stronger connection to your own body, and tools you can actually use when you go home.

Founders: Clare Harford & Aadhar Verma

Yoga Ayurveda Retreats was founded by Clare Harford and Aadhar Verma as a meeting point between two worlds: the refined structure of international retreat production and the living, breathing depth of India’s spiritual and cultural traditions.

Together, they create experiences that are not only seamless and beautifully held, but also deeply rooted, authentic, and transformative.

Co-Founder

Clare Harford

Clare brings over a decade of experience in global event production and retreat design, with an innate ability to craft journeys where every detail is intentional—from the physical environment to the emotional and energetic arc of each experience. Her work is grounded in both professionalism and presence, allowing guests and retreat leaders to feel fully supported from start to finish.

Her path, however, is not only professional—it is deeply personal.

Following profound experiences of loss, Clare was guided into a life of deeper enquiry, healing, and spiritual devotion. This led her to the path of Sri Vidya, a sacred tradition within Hinduism, which continues to shape how she lives, works, and holds space.

Through this journey, Ayurveda and yoga became not just practices, but a way of life—informing her relationship to rhythm, nature, nourishment, and inner balance. This embodied understanding now forms the foundation of every retreat she co-creates.

Co-Founder

Aadhar Verma

Aadhar, born and raised in India, brings the grounding presence of lived tradition and deep local knowledge. With a lifelong connection to yoga, meditation, and the cultural fabric of the regions in which they work, he ensures that every experience remains authentic, respectful, and connected to its roots.

His extensive local network opens doors to meaningful encounters with traditional teachers, communities, and environments that are rarely accessed through conventional travel. More than this, he holds space with a quiet steadiness that allows guests to feel both safe and deeply at ease within unfamiliar settings.
 Together, Clare and Aadhar bridge:
— modern retreat leadership and ancient wisdom traditions
— precision planning and intuitive, heart-led experience
— global perspective and local, cultural immersion

At the core of their work is a shared commitment to:
•Honouring the integrity of yoga and Ayurveda
•Creating genuine connection with local culture and communities
•Supporting conscious, sustainable, and ecologically aware travel
•Designing retreats that are as transformative as they are responsibly held

Through Yoga Ayurveda Retreats, they also support other teachers and group leaders to bring their own retreats to life—offering a level of care, experience, and on-the-ground support that allows them to focus fully on their students.

Their intention is simple, yet deeply felt:
to create spaces where people can step out of the noise, reconnect to what is real, and experience a deeper relationship with themselves, nature, and the traditions that guide the journey.
